Latitude-15/X-Static
at our farm store.

NEW! Latitude-15 now features X-Static - the silver fiber, a high performance fiber system made with pure silver.

The Latitude-15 lining is now a blend of a moisture management fiber and X-Static. This unique combination provides the wearer with a base layer which has the following natural characteristics:

  • Moisture Management: Moisture is wicked away from the wearer.
  • Anti-Odor: Inhibits the growth of bacteria + fungi in the product thus neutalizing odor causing ammonia+denatured proteins.
  • Thermodynamic: Regulates temperature - so you will stay cooler during the summer and warmer during the winter.
  • Anti-Static: Reduces electrostatic discharge to keep you more comfortable.

X-Static is safe, natural, and will last for the life of the product.

TESTIMONIALS

I was so glad to have my Latitude-15 with me. It turned out to be the favourite piece of clothing I had with me and so I ended up wearing it for the most part of the trip. The level of comfort it provides in an extreme outdoor enviroment is amazing and it's ability to keep your body "climate controlled" is absolutely unmatched by other materials like fleece or cotton. I can only say: Don't leave home without it!"

In Mongolia, our research project relies on the warmth, durability, and versatility of Latitude-15 pullovers. We study the biology of carnivores from wolves to wild cats at the edge of the Gobi Desert.
Conditions at our field site are often harsh and unpredictable – temperatures exceed
+40 C in the summer and can drop below -40 C during the snowy winter months. Latitude-15 keeps us warm and dry and is essential wear for our work.

Yup, my "hero" shot at the Geographic South Pole: Elevation 9,306 very cold, dry feet. Better shots to come as the year progresses... Moody's Diner, Latitude-15, RMC, MWO, Half-naked... but for now... we'll just stick with the traditional "Look ma, I made it" shot.

Hurricane force winds constantly driving frigid alpine air into your body, help make living and working on top of Mount Washington a terrific challenge. This past winter, the challenge diminished when I discovered a powerful weapon created to fight the elements: The Latitude-15 base layer.

Added protection against such harsh elements was a well-received attribute, though the true benefit of this product was Latitude-15' unique “anti fouling” feature. With a minimalist approach, an often-impassible road and wintertime water restrictions in place, showers and clean laundry became distant memories during long stints on top of The Rockpile. Not only did I carry out daily chores in my Latitude-15, I also chose to sleep in this comfortable base layer as well. In fact, I once wore my Latitude-15 for forty consecutive days and nights, resulting in no odor.

Whether spending a month on Mount Washington’s summit, hiking in the backcountry, kayaking and sailing on the Maine Coast, or for future travels to the world’s cold climates, my luggage has gotten a lot lighter thanks to Latitude-15!

I am happy to report that the wonderful Latitude-15 top performed incredibly well during many chilly morning runs in the frigid New York winter of 2005. It is simply terrific – it kept me warm and dry throughout the season. Even when it was in the low 20s, I would run in the top with just a windbreaker shell and it kept me very warm. And it has remained odor-free, despite the fact that I still haven’t washed it! So it is a fantastic product!

The Latitude-15 pullover is the most versatile and comfortable outwear I own. I am a biologist and routinely travel to remote locations to study wildlife. I recently travelled to the mountains of northern Oman to survey for rarely-seen Blanford’s fox. While in the mountains, we experienced dramatic temperature changes and stormy conditions. Latitude-15 was the perfect base layer for these conditions and I highly recommend it, especially to those that work and travel in extreme conditions.

I recently travelled to the deserts of the United Arab Emirates to survey for rarely-seen Ruppell’s fox. While in the desert, we experienced dramatic temperature changes, sand storms, and even rain. Latitude-15 was the perfect base layer for all of these conditions and I highly recommend it, especially to those that work and travel in extreme conditions.

21 Days on the Snowman Trek”

I’ve just returned from Bhutan where a group of us completed the “Snowman Trek”, a 24-day affair widely considered the most difficult of Himalayan treks. I started wearing the original alpaca shirt (without X-static), but after we were caught in a snowstorm on October 14th I removed it to dry it and put on the new Latitude-15 (XP33) shirt. I didn’t remove it until November 4th, the last day of the trek, whenwe reached the town of Punhaka and hotel rooms with showers. I wore it at night in my sleeping bag with a down vest over it and during the day with varying outer layers over it. We ranged in altitude from 10,000 to over 17,000 feet and temperatures were mainly in the 0ºF to the mid 40’s F. Anyway, here it is still unwashed since the 21 days I wore it. It is an extremely comfortable and serviceable garment.

And thank you also for the beautiful (Latitude-15) sweater. We sat outside a little tonight, and I was chilly and put it on. It was the softest, loveliest thing.

 Mainer Latitude-15'd building his home

Well, it kept me cozy all day today -I put on the Latitude-15 under my workshirt and vest. Good combination. The day warmed up so took off the workshirt for the picture.

John Simminger Latitude-15'd while jogging!

The styling, fit and comfort are excellent. Banded wrists are comfortable to pull up while running - also the deep zipper with a large pull is so important when wearing gloves. The main thing I noticed was that when I returned to the office and sat down at my desk the Latitude-15 seemed to dry even faster than my former preferred base layer.

 Zurs am Arlberg, Austria

We received your package yesterday and we want to thank you very much. Actually I am wearing the pullover right now and it feels fantastic. I have been wearing the Latitude-15 quite a bit now. At the moment when the hotel is not heated we go through changes of warm and cool all day long and the Latitude-15 does a lot to keep me comfortable in these conditions.

Avid International Trekker and Jogger

I've worn the alpaca shirt 3 times on my jogs about the neighborhood. It's sublimely comfortable and warm with another layer and a shell even at 10 degrees F. I can't wait to take it to Bhutan. Many Thanks
